Which still didn't solve the problem:

• ⛔ Check USB connections

• ⛔ Restarted the Oculus software
• ⛔ Oculus services restarted
• ⛔ Notebook restarted
• ⛔ PC completely cleaned from Oculus software and drivers. Reinstall.
• ⛔ Latest NVIDIA Graphics Driver installed.

The above steps still haven't solved the problem yet!

What finally solved the problem:

1. ✅ AMD chipset driver installed with AMD Radeon Software.

   AMD driver installed.

2. ✅ Display driver hidden from Windows Update using wushowhide.diagcab tool from Microsoft.

   To hide specific driver updates from Windows Update, the wushowhide.diagcab Microsoft tool can be used.

I noticed that Windows Update had found and installed a new AMD display driver. But this driver did not make the Oculus Rift work anymore. The driver found and installed by AMD Radeon Software fixed the issue. The error was reproducible by installing the display driver via Windows Update. To hide specific driver updates from Windows Update, Microsoft's wushowhide.diagcab tool can be used.

New Oculus Rift S

In October 2017, I bought the Oculus Rift as a bundle with the Touch Controllers. Thanks to the flex bands, which can be adjusted on the side and at the top, the glasses are very comfortable on my head.
Many games have a great and almost smooth Virtual Reality Game Engine, which offers a good gaming experience. It has both paid and free games. I also often have surprisingly good experiences with some free games made. However, the probability is higher that bugs are still present. Most of the games that I have played have concepts that I have always been able to familiarize myself with. Below are a few games mentioned, which I have had particularly good experiences and also the one Have fun for players. I can just slip into a different role, the VR environment scout out and play.

Google Earth VR

Googe Earth is truly an experience. I can spend hours with it when I have time. I can the game start at a chosen location in the world. Sometimes it also has new recommendations from the app, which have been reworked, for example. The post-processed maps are very impressive. With the post-processed maps, I mean the 3D plots of buildings and trees and streets from well-known places to which you may plan your next vacation. As a planning tool for your own trips, the app is very good. Thanks to the many 360 ° photos taken by Google Earth users or Google employees themselves, I can virtually get an idea of what to expect there. Incidentally, there are also shots from the inside. For example, I can take a virtual look at a restaurant, because even there you will be able to enjoy very successful 360 ° photos. Sometimes it just pays to follow a recommendation from the APP. So I came unexpectedly to Ronda, a small but historically very interesting city in Spain. The highlights are the historic bridge "Puente Nuevo" and the "Plaza de Toros". With good internet connection at home, the sometimes very high quality maps are loaded very quickly and I can slide from one place to another.

Robo Recall

Robo Recall is one of the first Ego Shooter I played on the VR. The aggressive robots are always attacking me. It is a challenge to compete against this large amount of attacking machines. I have to use the 360 °, otherwise I have no chance to win the game for me. The game really gets exciting thanks to the teleporting. In the beginning I found it difficult to get exactly to the position I was thinking of from a distance. That it is a better position for fighting enemies than the previous ones. Cool is that I can reach backwards to the guns, and can recharge the weapons so constantly. But it is always a challenge to have the defense ready for the attacking robots. While many Oculus games are also a sitting solid playing position for "couch players", the game leaves little chance here in this position, which is good. This game requires movement and reaction skills. It is a game for new challenges and not for relaxation. That's why I always enjoy it when I'm in that mood. The quality of the environment is very high and has a great performance. Not to forget the design of the characters, the streets and the city, you really feel like you are in the game.
