Moments 2021
Niederbipp in January
The field stubble still protrude about half its length from the snow cover. It snowed about 5 cm the night before.
Excursion on Sunday morning on a sunny day. The sky is cloudless. There is now around 20 cm of snow.
It was a long time ago when there was so much snow in the Swiss Plateau. On the street the sun shines on the street which is still covered with melt water.
The street gives a certain depth to the picture. The sun is in a perfect place so that it fills the picture.
Winter mood in the Niederbipp valley with a spectacular view of the mountain area.
Left picture: There is a small tree on a hill, this has grown in the direction of the constant wind in the flat valley.
Right picture: A hiker with a dog stands on the same hill and looks down at the valley on the other side.
Niederbipp in February
The snow melted away in early February. The small slope is in the shade of the sun.
Further back in the picture there is a tree at the end of the slope.
It looks like the tree is trying to catch the sun.
The shadow cast by the tree creates a unique atmosphere in the meadow.
The vegetation is not very advanced yet. Nevertheless, the field slowly turned green around 3 weeks after the melt.
Behind it there is a wide view of the forests, which are presented in shades of blue.
The temperatures are still freezing. In the pictures, the meltwater frozen into ice can be seen in unique patterns.
Both pictures were taken at different locations. The picture on the left shows the rising moisture in the soil.
In the picture on the right, the ground is already a lot drier because the sun is already coming more strongly. The forest appears harmoniously in both pictures,
which decreases more or less in height from left to right because the distance from the viewer's point of view to the forest increases.
In the middle it goes back to the Gäu-Thal. To the right of this you can see Oensingen and Neu-Bechburg Castle.
In front of it there are large stubble fields. The lying wood gives a suitably relaxed atmosphere, which goes well with the background of the picture.
Tall fir trees in the forest, which, due to the penetrating sun, make the trees appear dark in the evening by day.
Niederbipp in July
View of the Niederbipp mountain range.
The lowest branches of the tree run almost harmoniously to the crest of the hill.
Niederbipp in September
Left picture: The sun shines directly on the tree, which makes the light green leaves visible.
Right picture: The sun shines through the tree, which gives an atmospheric but darker impression of the trees.
In the middle of the forest, the penetrating sun illuminates the impressive tree trunks,
which gives the impression that you can see several thousand trees at once.
Another view of trees in the trunk area. However,
the background is embossed with a richer green than in the previous image above.
Forest vegetation getting ready for winter.
Niederbipp in October
Solitary but strong flowering plant.
Hardly recognizable in the picture on the left from this perspective. In the picture on the right,
it stands out against the green area in the foggy gray morning mood.
Walenstadt in December
The sun climbs the sky and comes out bright at noon.
Murgthal in December
View out of the dense fog to the higher mountains where the sun can be seen.
Churfirsten in December
View of the Churfirsten from Flumserberg.
Flumserberg - Seebenalp in December
View of the surrounding mountains during the hike to the Seebenalp.
In between lies the dense blanket of fog in the valley.
Snow crystals shine in the soothing sun from the deep snow cover.
