Hitachi HA-330 Stereo Amplifier successfully restored
An eye-catcher from the late 70s. The amplifier basically worked perfectly. Only damage to the back was repaired and minor technical security defects were eliminated. The music output of 2 x 50 watts is considerable and can fill a larger room with sufficient music volume.
Bang & Olufsen Beomaster 1000 successfully restored
The historic Beomaster had some defects in the NF power amplifier that had to be eliminated. The device had been stored in a screed for a long time, which resulted in a large layer of dust accumulating inside. After moderate repair and overhaul effort, the B&O device impresses with a good sound.
Stone finds: Ancient creatures from the Cretaceous back to the Jurassic period
In recent years, some interesting stone finds have come together that are proven to contain creatures that must date back to the Jurassic period. An assessment under a semi-professional microscope had at least revealed impressive traces.
Mediator MD 5811 A successfully restored
A find from the early 1970s had survived the decades well. Although the construction of the plastic housing made the device affordable for everyone at the time, there were hardly any signs of aging. All we had to do was use the usual suspects like some electrolytic capacitors and e.g. the belts in the cassette deck need to be replaced.
Wall Calendar - The IOT web project is successfully in use
A bounced idea from a paper calendar turned into an electronic calendar with some additional features like displaying room temperature and weather. This resulted in a more demanding but very exciting project. After a development period spread over 18 months, a productive website for the home network was successfully completed.

Small redesign of the website successfully implemented
I am pleased to announce that the small but fine redesign of the website that has been planned for a long time has worked out successfully. The previous design and color scheme was a bit dated and seemed a little less timeless. The new color palette is a bit more contemporary and, in my opinion, is an excellent combination of more subtle but lively colors. With the new implementation, the topics on the site are more structured and the navigation from one topic to another is now easier with clearly visible titles.

Used Harman Kardon receiver suddenly makes noise
I got my hands on a used HK AVR 158. The error description was originally that the sound is very quiet. After resetting the microprocessor and extensive re-soldering of the main and display electronics, the sound works perfectly again. I like the sound, which really has a lot of energy and also gives a really impressive spatial sound in terms of the software.

Hitachi Stereo Amplifier HA-6800 successfully restored
At the end of the revision, the stereo amplifier from the 80s shines again in its silver and brushed aluminum look with a bright shine. The classic, equipped with 2x 70 watts, is also convincing in terms of sound. Contacts such as switches and regulators had to be cleaned. The main electronics were completely re-soldered and the corrosion protection renewed. Cold solder joints were also discovered underneath, causing the indicator lights on the front to have loose contacts. The conductive paste was also renewed and the heat sink cleaned on the sophisticated passive cooling system. The cooling technology in this amplifier model is a special feature from Hitachi's HiFi history...

ITT Schaub Lorenz 5000 Stereo Hi Fi Receiver successfully restored
The repairs and restorations of the ITT Schaub Lorenz 5000 Stereo Hi Fi Receiver were successfully completed. A line filter was retrofitted, the potentiometer and switches were cleaned, and the completely defective indicator lighting was replaced by LED technology. A completely new floor pan was developed and implemented. All-round cleaning and inspection carried out. The electrolytic capacitors and suppression capacitors were replaced on the secondary power supply board and in the loudspeaker amplifiers.

Electown Stereo Receiver successfully restored
The repairs and restorations of the Electown AR-3000E were successfully completed. The power cord was replaced, the potentiometer and switches cleaned, almost completely defective indicator lighting replaced by LED. The fixed VU meters had to be revised at great expense and repaired with new spare parts. All-round cleaning and control, including the ESR values of Capacitors, which fortunately are still technically flawless after 46 years of use.

Field stubble in February 2021
Field stubble that has been cut off during hibernation rise to a height of around 10 cm from the ground. The background is bluish due to the rising damp and reflection of the skied bluish hue of the forest recognizable.
